The Marsh Children's Home, known in Mexico as "Hogar Infantil Marsh", is a government approved, non-profit organization created to care for and educate some of Acapulco's and the state of Guerrero's most under-priveledged, abandoned and sometimes abused children.

Love is the guiding Principle at the Marsh Children's Home. We teach the Children the importance of loving one another. We also teach them that they should Respect others while leading a life of Dignity and Achievement. We teach them that through hard work and dedication — they can build their own brighter future!

Our Story, in fact, begins with Love. Hogar Infantil Marsh opened it's doors in 1991, but the Marsh Home's story begins long before that. Jovita Godínez and Eduardo "Lalo" Castañón — both orphans themselves — were raised in a Latin American Orphanage run by Lawrence and Alice Marsh. It was here where Jovita and Eduardo fell in Love.

After graduation, Jovita and "Lalo" got married and started a family. They raised 4 children of their own. After their children graduated from High School, they decided to dedicate their lives to caring for some of the most vulnerable children in Mexico. In memory of Lawrence and Alice Marsh, they named their new home the Marsh Children's Home.

Over the years, "Mamá Jovita" and the Marsh Children's Home have received numerous awards and recognition from the Mayor's Office of Acapulco, the Government of Guerrero, Fundación Simi and many more. In 2013, Jovita Godínez was nominated for "CNN's Heroes". In 2015, Jovita was presented with the 13th Annual Award for Altruism at a ceremony in Mexico City.
