ABOUT
US
The
Marsh Children's Home is a non-profit
institution in Acapulco, Mexico, set up to assist and
protect needy and homeless children. We provide them
with a home where they can live, get food, education,
medical attention and love. Founded in 1990 by Eduardo
Castañon and Jovita
Godínez, both raised as orphans
in the Latin American Orphanage, the Marsh
Home sympolizes their decision to dedicate their lives
to helping unfortunate children. Eduardo passed away
on February 4th, 2006 - but Jovita continues, as Director.
She is dedicated to improving children's lives in this
incredible and blessed project and to continuing to
improve on Eduardo's legacy.
The Marsh
Children's Home is located at kilometer 18
on the highway from Acapulco to Barra Vieja
at Playa Bonfil. To visit, follow the road
signs to the Acapulco International Airport, and take
the Barra Vieja turnoff. At kilometer 18,
at the end of the village of Bonfil you will
see a sign for the Marsh Children's Home,
located right on the beach. Here the children are
housed and cared for by Jovita Godínez,
her sister Ruth
and her son César.
