PROJECTS

Computer Room: We desperately need someone to help us keep the computer classes going. Our major expenses are electricity and teaching assistance to keep this wonderful project moving forward. Teaching the children computer skills will be invaluable in helping them compete in our modern world.

Library: We need funds or a sponsor to build a library for the children. We are currently accepting donations of children's books, history books and books about cultural and social studies (in Spanish, please).

DELETE???? Passenger Van: We need a 15 passenger van, as our current bus is not large enough for 80 kids. It is also needed to take smaller groups to school or into town for special projects, outings or to take the children for dentist visits.

Vegetable Garden & Fruit Orchard: We would like to become more self sufficient. One of our current projects is to solicit donations to build a vegetable garden and fruit orchard; planting papaya, orange, lime and avocado trees; pineapples; and chiles, tomatoes and a myriad of other vegetables native to the Mexico's pacific coast.

Infirmary: We need to re-install our infirmary in the event of an emergency. We recently had to convert it into a living quarter for 4 more children that Jovita could not refuse.
