WISH LIST

Library Books (in Spanish): We need funds or a sponsor to build a library for the children. We are currently accepting donations of children's books, English-to-Spanish dictionaries, history books and books about culture, social studies, art and music (in Spanish, please).

Vegetable Garden & Fruit Orchard: We would like to become more self sufficient. One of our current projects is to solicit donations to build a vegetable garden and fruit orchard; planting papaya, orange, lime and avocado trees; pineapples; chiles, onions, tomatoes, basil, cilantro and and a myriad of herbs and vegetables native to the Mexico's Pacific coast.

Infirmary: We need to re-install our infirmary in the event of an emergency. We recently had to convert it into a living quarter for 4 more children that Jovita could not refuse. We are currently solicting medical supplies (bandaids, gauze, medical tape, bandages, Q-Tips®, alcohol, digital thermometers, aspirin, Children's Tylenol®, cough syrup, etc.); a blood pressure monitor and glucose tester; an examination table and chair; and a scale so that we can monitor and document the height and weight of the children.

Educational & Entertainment DVD's: To complement our new state-of-the-art computer room and theatre, and as an entertaining way to teach the kids about the world around them, we kindly ask that you donate educational DVD's. Popular titles from The Discovery Channel® or The History Channel® would be greatly appreciated. Additionally, we would love to have some Disney® Movies on DVD for our children to enjoy on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, as a way to reward them for completing their chores and homework.

Graphic Design Software (for Windows XP): We have a professional graphic designer and creative director who has offered to teach the children graphic design, photo editing, illustration and web design. We need your old versions of Adobe Illustrator®, Adobe Photoshop®, Flash® and Dreamweaver® that will run on Windows XP.
